Artery Disease Pain: Assuming you had an arterial blockage and the procedure you had or are having is a balloon angioplasty, then you are correct , this would be one type of treatment for this painful problem especially if it was performed on the leg with the occlusion. Other ways to treat this are medications, stent placements and a new technique extracting plaque within the artery. Exercise is always recommended.

Need to see : Vascular doc and would not delay treatment. If the blockage is behind the knee a bypass may be your best option. Stents do not do well in this region because the knee is flexed often and they collapse or break. Please discuss with your vascular doctor.
