Ingesting eggs: The pregnant pinworm lays eggs in a glue like material in the anal cleft. The glue triggers itching which aids in spreading eggs to bed linen or other sites. Chance contact contaminates fingers which will pass the eggs to the face and or mouth where they return to the gut and start the cycle over. Any family member can pass it without symptoms. In the us we usually treat with 2 doses a week apart.
