Iron: You have been losing more iron with your menses than you have been absorbing. Oral iron absorption is limited. You may need par enteral iron to restore your iron stores. Vit c taken with oral iron helps it absorb.

No iron in body: You may be losing iron through menstrual bleeding and not absorbing enough iron. You probably have iron deficiency anemia. Take iron supplements e.g. Slow fe along with vitamin c. Be sure you do not have bleeding else where.
