Infection likely: Boils, anal fistula, ; pilonidal cysts can occur in area between anal opening ; genitalia ; often are painful, red, swollen and drain pus or foul smelling material. Soaking in tub with warm water with or without epsom salt may provide some relief if a boil or pilonidal cyst but both usually require antibiotics. A fistula usually requires surgery ; antibiotics. An exam of area is recommended.
