Pain "down there"...: To a degree, this depends on your age. Younger boys with this sort of pain might be at risk for testicular torsion (twisting of the cords attached to the testicle). Young men and older men can have some intermittent pain due to subtle blockages in the ducts and inflammation. Unlikely to be infection since it comes and goes. An exam would be of benefit to ascertain the exact location and dx.
