TMD: Could you be clenching your teeth during the night? A very common trigger for morning headaches is clenching your teeth during the night. This can be easily treated with a type of night guard mouth appliance that is made by your dentist.

Morning headache: From a dental standpoint, many patients who are grinders or clenchers during sleep will wake up with headaches. As well as seeing an md a dentist can make you a niteguard to wear with could really help it sould be a flexible one and should be on the lower only.

Need evaluation: Morning heachaches can be tension, cluster, migraine, related to obstructive sleep apnea, or nighttime clenching. http://www.headaches.org/ I'd start with a neurologist evaluation.
