Waking with dyspnea: This is something you should see a physician about. The differential diagnosis for shortness if breath is large. Since you said it is waking you up then i would consider sleep apnea 1st. Any sized person can get this, but being overweight or having a large neck can increase your risk. Snoring is often seen in association. If anyone has ever told you that you hold your breath when asleep?
