Breast milk: Your own breast milk will always be the best choice for your baby. Drink plenty of fluids and let the baby have the breast frequently to increase your supply. If you must supplement then use any of the commercial formulas that he tolerates.

Nursing is the best way to feed your newborn baby. Discuss a lactation consultation with your Pediatrician to ensure adequate milk supplies and to discuss storage of pumped milk. A supplemental formula that is standard such as Enfamil may be offered after nursing. Monitor your son's growth chart and virtual consultations are also available at HTMG.
