A member asked:

What is the difference between metoprol tar 50mg and metoprolol 1000mg?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Twice the dose: I believe you mean 100 mg not 1000mg. Metoprolol is available as a short acting drug(12 hr) tartrate and long acting (24hr) succinate . It comes in a variety of dosages.
