NST means...: Nst is different things to different people. It is a non-stress test in pregnant women. That kind of nst is non-reactive if the baby's heart does not beat faster when he moves or if he is quiet and not moving (so additional testing would be needed). Nst is also a nuclear stress test or non-invasive stress test of the heart, that a cardiologist might order. Please ask again, without abbreviations.

Dancing lesson: Sensitivity at kindergarten implies the likelihood the test will be positive if the pt. Has the disease. Specificity at kindergarten level implies the test will be negative when the patient doesn't have it. A high% of both is a very good test. High specificity, the test is good at showing problem not there.
