It varies quite a lo: It depends on the number of metastatic lesions and also if there is disease outside of the brain and also on the response to treatment. Not knowing any of these variables, i would say patients can live from 3 months on the short end to 12 to even 18 months. Occasionally the brain met can be resected surgically which can provide even a longer survival. So i can not be more precise.

Brief: Some variation, depending on cell type, size of lesion, diffuse or multiple lesions. Some may respond to radiation, or chemo but prognosis is generally poor and short.

Tough: Depends but one can guesstimate that it would be months. Some patients do better and can survive longer. Hope this helps.
