Not recommended: Nitrofurantoin is a urinary antiseptic that does not achieve tissue levels to treat an invasive infection. It has many severe potential toxicities including nausia and vomitting in 17-39% of people taking it, severe lung reactions, hepatitis, hemolytic anemia and peripheral neuropathy. Because of the above i rarely prescribe this drug. Because it can cause liver toxicity i would not drink on it.

Not a good idea: Would suggest that you do not drink alcohol. Even moderate drinking while using this antibiotic may result in reduced effectiveness of the drug.

Yes: The two are not known to negatively interact, having a drink (i.e., in moderation) should be okay.
