Yes: The goal of all braces is too optimize your bite, both cosmetically and functionally. Lingual braces is one option used so that the brackets and wires are not visible, but there are some limitations with this system. Talk to an orthodontist about to answer your questions and find out what will work best for your particular mouth.

Yes, but: Lingual braces require smaller steps at each adjustment visit. As a result treatment usually takes longer. Make sure to consult with a qualified orthodontic specialist to evaluate your unique problem and the equally unique solutions.

Would not recommend: Lingual braces. They have their issues-- can cut your tongue, often impact speech, difficult to treat. We tried these for a while and decided not to treat using them. If you need an invisable solution, would strongly recommend you consider invisalign instead. Or better yet, consider clear brackets.

See your DDS: Your general dentist or orthodontist will perform a thorough examination and take full mouth radiographs (x-rays) to determine how to best address your overbite.
They will need to determine the type and "severity" of overbite you have.
