Why ignore?: Why ignore the pain? Pain occuring monthly sounds more like endometriosis than ovarian cysts. An ovarian cyst is easy to diagnose by sonogram. Endometriosis can be harder to diagnosis. In severe pain cases a diagnostic procedure called a laparoscopy is often warranted.
