General itchiness: With limited information and not able to see of you and your boyfriend have skin rashes or how it looks like, we could not give you specific advise. It seems that both of you have been scratching really bad that it leaves scar. Itching by itself does not leave scar. You should come see a local doctor to be evaluated and treated. Either an allergist or a dermatologist would be able to help you.
