Let Dr. Know: If truly due to allergies than an anti-allergy medication would be the answer. Inhaled corticosteroid meds like flonase/nasonex etc can help post nasal drip from allergies that may cause a cough. Either way, you need to let the dr. Know so they can place any meds in the chart to appropriately know all meds you take (even otc meds). Best wishes.
