A member asked:

I've lost hearing on my left ear after a long flight. will it get better ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Decreased hearing: After flying your ears may not have equalized pressure. If the pressure behind the eardrum is not at the same pressure as the outside, the ear drum will not move correctly, and will dampen your ability to hear. You can try the valsalva or toynbee maneuvers to equalize the pressure. "pinch your nose and swallow (toynbee) or gently blow (valsalva).
