When i lay down i sometimes hear my heart beat why? seems odd and feels weird to hear it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

audible heart beat: When you lay down, you are essentially taking a column of blood the was vertical and making it horizontal. This has the effect of increasing venous blood return to the heart and can make the heart beat seem harder. It usually only lasts seconds and is not an indicator of problems. Check your blood pressure and heart rate however.
