depends on cause : For most causes of elevated bilirubin it is not reasonable to expect it to be lowered in two weeks. Some causes are actually genetic and will always be high not matter what is done. It is best to speak with provider to see if there is any suspected serious cause. Goal is to determine and treat underlying problem if present which will lower the bilirubin over time.
