Black hairy tongue: Not a symptom. It's usually related to something you are putting into your mouth. Antibiotics, for example, can alter your oral flora. Also, talk to your PCP physician about your use of Pepto Bismol. GI testing may be in order. Excessive use can result in bismuth poisoning. Be sure to NOT exceed package directions.
