A member asked:

I am a38 yr old female, 370 lbs, working on losing weight, saw ad for weight loss info, "drink water(1/2 your body weight)" what does this mean? help

consider bariatic Rx: I am not sure what is meant by drinking 1/2 body weight. In general, drinking lots of fluids fills your stomach so that you can be less hungry while dieting. Although any weight loss program is better than nothing, it is highly unlikely that you would lose the amount of weight you need to (probably 200 lbs) without bariatric surgery. In your age group you really need to highly consider this.
