M 19 can a droopy eyelid be caused by rubbing or anxiety? i have health anxiety and have been rubbing my eye for 2 days left eyelid slightly drooped.

Not anxiety : A drooping eyelid should be seen at the very least by your family doctor who will likely refer you to a neurologist or ophthalmologist depending on the exam findings. Tell your family doctor you need to be seen today and follow their directions from there. If no one can see you, go to the er.

stop rubbing!: Which is definitely associated with keratoconus. I also treated a patient who rubbed the eye enough to cause locallized swelling from histamine release, which then stretched the levator tendon and caused drooping. Use behavior modification techniques and meditation/deep breathing to help with anxiety and if necessary, seek help from a psychiatrist.
