Prevention: Probiotics like florastor are the thing to use to help speed this process along after a course of antibiotics. Also - pen vk has a fairly low risk for causing c. Diff.

10 weeks: C. Difficile diarrhea can start as late as 10 weeks after stopping antibiotic treatment. Probiotics do decrease the incidence of antibiotic associated and c. Difficile diarrhea.

Taking Clindamycin for 5 out of 10 days so far & took Florastor for first 3 days but stopped. No diarrhea from the antibiotic then, but it's been 2 days since probiotic was stopped & diarrhea has just started. Should I start probiotic again?
