A member asked:

My 3 yr old refuses to potty train. should i be worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: 3 year olds can be quite defiant and oppositional. The more you push, the more they may be stubborn. Make it available to him or her, and then back off for a couple of months. Get some fun books that make toilet flushing noises, invite child into bathroom to mimic mom or dad. Do fun things like try to sink the cheerio or toilet tissue. Applaud success but don't comment at al on failures.
