A member asked:

I had my pap today and the dr said my cervix is deep. what does that mean and will it cause fertility problems?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

cervix position: To do a pap test, the provider needs to see the cervix which is the opening to the uterus, the uterus can flex forward or backward making the cervix found in different positions in the vagina. The cervix is attached to the top of the vagina hence it can be found "deep". Often women who have pushed out babies have a low cervix/ uterus. There is no fertility problem with a deep cervix.
