PCOS Treatment: Treating the symptoms with birth control pills will lessen the problems you may have now such as the excess hair growth, acne, or weight gain that is associated with pcos. It will also lessen the risk of long term effects related to pcos such as the excessive bleeding, ovarian cysts, and endometrial hyperplasia that can occur. The effects are the same whether or not you are a virgin.
