I have astigmatism doctor says. why does he say my eye is football shaped? it looks round to me.

Exaggerated: Astigmatism is typically when you're cornea is more football shaped than spherical, but it is only slightly in that shape. We describe it as football shape so patients understand better. Even with severe astigmatism, your cornea will still 'look' round to you with your bare naked eye.
