A member asked:

I'm 28yrs old & had a lumbar puncture 6 days ago. i am lightheaded when sitting & am having severe nausea. should these symptoms still be present?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lumbar puncture: Post lumbar puncture syndrome usually is due to leakage of CSF from the tap puncture site, and often subsides to asymptomatic by 10 days. Remain hydrated. If you have fever, the nausea persists or anything else, go back and see the doctor who did the LP immediately.
