Polyethylene glycol: This agent can take up to 1 to 4 days to have bowel movement. If have stool impaction, you might want to give yourself an enema first, then take polyethylene glycol, one tablespoon in 8 ounces of water up to three times per day. Should eat high fiber diet with adequate water. Citrucel, mix 8 ounces of water daily.
