More info: Need more info - how long, did it start after eating a chip?, was it there upon waking, is it sore, any cold symptoms, rash or post nasal drainage. Possible allergies, ulcer, foreign body, diverticulum, or even cancer. Would recommend seeing your physician or an ent- will need an exam and possibly direct visualization with a scope if not improved or worsening.
