Burning mouth: Possible causes for burning mouth syndrome are injury, allergies, nutritional deficiencies, acid reflux, diabetes, dry mouth, ill-fitting dentures, oral candidiasis (thrush), or a systemic medical condition. Often, no underlying cause is found. If the burning persists for more thana week, or re-occurs, see your dentist and/or medical doctor or ENT specialist.
