No: There is no known association between singulair (montelukast) and mental illness. A few people may have anxiety or shakiness but this is a side effect that will go away if the medicine is stopped.

Usually no: We used to think singulair (montelukast) was a "magic bullet", having no side effects or issues. However, we've found that there can be subtle personality changes and sleep disturbance, with thought issues and nightmares. However, these effects are very subtle, and are not linked with any clear mental illness.
