A member asked:

Would a girl know if she was on her period or if it was a side effect of stopping birth control? can it easily be confused?

Stopping BC pills: When you stop birth control pills anywhere in your pill pack, you are likely to experience a withdrawal bleed from the lack of hormones. If you miss a few pills in your pill pack, the same thing often happens. If you complete the pill pack and then discontinue your pills, you also will experience the scheduled withdrawal bleeding that occurs at the end of a pill pack.
