Hepatitis antibody: Hepatitis b infection (or vaccine injection) stimulates production of igm and igg antibodies. Igm is short-lived antibody type and if present, suggests a recent infection, if igg is present, a past-infection (or sucessful immunization) is likely. A negative test suggests no prior infection or no prior immunization (or a failed immunization attempt).
