GERD/Pancreatitis: Between the 2 diseases, sometimes the symptoms can be similar. Gerd would have frequent acid reflux, heartburns, epigastric discomfort, chest pain, difficulty swallowing. Chronic pancreatitis: epigastric/luq pain, radiates toward the back, especially after fatty meal. Very easy to be evaluated to differentiate between the 2, such as trial of antireflux meds, egd, abdominal x ray (or ct), past hx.
