Can be: Chronic pancreatitis can cause chronic pain, often worse with eating, can radiate into the back; can be constant pain requiring narcotics; can have hard to control diabetes; can have fat malabsorption with fatty, greasy, foul smelling stools, weight loss; can have vitamin and mineral deficiencies, including osteoporosis, and osteomalacia (rickets). Rx can include surgery, digestive supp, pain meds.
