Lunch tables: Most schools provide a peanut free table for students with peanut allergy to sit at. They often have a friend that agrees not to bring peanut to school that is able to sit with them.

Many ways...: Schools typically identify children with food allergies and school nurses communicate with the child's allergist to develop a "food allergy action plan" that delineates what needs to be done for mild through severe/anaphylactic reactions. Food labels are read carefully. If indicated, children with severe food allergies may be seated separately in cafeteria. Child psychologist may also be helpful.
