Eye lid allergy: Swelling of the eye lids in a female is typically caused by make-up allergy. Stopping make-up for two weeks will usually prove this as a cause (if you get better). It would be difficult to explain why only one eye-lid is involved if allergy was your problem, see an opthalmologist for a better diagnosis.
