Depends: The type of surgery, if laparoscopic or not, depends on the degree and type of disease. If the surgery is due to fistula formation, then laparoscopic surgery may be very difficult. If the surgery is for isolated disease and due to stricture then laparoscopic surgery more likely to be successful. May be in the hospital a week or less, should be able to eat fairly normal by the time you go home.
