Headache Meds: First, any patient with headaches should have them completely evaluated. To prevent ha, many doctors recommend various cardiac or anti-seizure medications. For treatment, it depends on the type of headache. For migraines there is a class of drugs called tryptans. For tension headaches, most analgesics will work.
