Addictions: Affliction or addiction. The biggest challenge is to recognize the problem and want to stop. Motivation to quit, elimination of bad influences or relocation may help. Most of my patients who want to quit and did, said it was tougher to quit cigarettes than cocaine. Don't do it alone. Self help groups like ca or na or aa can help. Stopping may unmask other sx depression, anxiety, adhd.

Not impossible: Currently we have medications to help with addiction and also you need support groups and cbt and other counseling talk to your doctor.
