Need more info: True social drinking does not result in uncontrolled use or negative consequences. Problem drinking does. Some problem drinkers may never drink alone and hang out with "friends" but they still could be alcoholics, and yet they may call themselves social drinkers, they may be in denial. Has your drinking caused problems or conflicts with you or others who know you? Can you be social without alcohol.
