A member asked:

It has been 10days now since my husband has chickenpox, can it be pass on to me through his semen if we have sex at this point ?

No not through semen: Chcken pox is not spread through semen or by sexual intercourse.Chicken pox(varicella) is very contagious by direct contact and if you have been living with him during the period he had rash and was contagious and you have not had chicken pox in past, in all likelihood you will get it.The incubation period is 10 to21 days.It is spread by direct skin contact and by sneezing and coughing.

No: Chickenpox is technically not a sexually transmitted disease, though it can be transmitted through close person contact, which hopefully occurs during sex. However, your husband is well past the contagious period, and most likely you've already had chickenpox anyway.
