nothing specific: The primary focus while an infant has fever is maintaining fluid balance.Fever is a natural way the body slows the viral growth and reproduction. As long as baby can take fluids well enough to wet diapers every 6 hours, no additional meds are required. If baby seems too tired or uncomfortable to drink, fever meds like Acetaminophen are helpful.

Keep her comfortable: The most important thing to know about fevers is that they are rarely harmful. They can cause a lot of discomfort though. Our bodies create fevers to inhibit reproduction of viruses and bacteria. Fever also makes our muscles ache and we alternate feeling cold or hot. Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can help reduce fever but may not get rid of the fever. An ice pack on the neck can also help.
