Yes: This is the point of screening, to detect cancers in asymptomatic patients. There are new tests to look for cancer cells in the blood but these tests are still in the experimental phase.

Yes to both: You may have cancer and not know it. Cancer dna is probably present, but there are no easy, reliable, useful tests for detection.
