No: Hpv doesn't ever go away, but the body can be effective at suppressing the virus. Most women contact hpv at some point in their lives. So long as you have regular pap screening and follow doctor's instructions, you'll be fine. Hpv can lead to cervical cancer, but it takes years to develop, which is why screening is so effective. Don't smoke, eat healthy, get rest, reduce stress.
