Reconsider diagnosis: There is such thing as simopulmonary syndrome, that is something upper respiratory or sinus can cause bronchospasm or asthma. Proper antibiotics if needed after reexamination can be considered, and of course treat the bronchospasm. Pain med? May help, but don't mask all symptoms, treat the cause. Obviously Acetaminophen is safe.
