Alcohol on the brain: Each 12 oz beer, 5 oz glass of wine, or 1 oz shot of liquor kills about 1, 000 neurons. The average person's brain contains about 1 trillion neurons. Yes, alcohol permanently damages the brain, but the average brain can compensate for moderate alcohol consumption. Excess intake would be more than 2 drinks per day, or more than 4 drinks in one night (binge drinking). Hope this helps!

QUANTITY: Base behavior on what is wise. The different sensations when people drink = alterations of nerve function. The more you're buzzed the more you've put nerve tissue out of order. A little is okay, maybe relaxing; a lot and you pay for it after because alc is a toxin. Quantity varies with your liver function. If family members are alcoholic think genetics and dont even start.
