Tonsil bleeding: Hello, manipulating your tonsils to remove stones can be done multiple ways. I recommend gargling with water after meals. If a stone persists, patients will attempt removal with a moistened q-tip. Any means of removal can lead to bleeding. The more aggressive, the more risk for bleeding. This bleeding should pass without worry. See your ENT doctor for a complete evaluation.

Worry won't help...: Nor will it change the outcome. If you damaged your tonsil trying to treat yourself, you could likely end up with an acute infection: tonsillitis. At the very least, you could have pain, swelling and difficulty swallowing. Too dangerous to try to remove stones that don't loosen with gargle. See your dentist. S/he will treat you or refer you to oral sturgeon or ent.
