Needs an eval: There are a few considerations here including nerve compression problems, nerve injury, neck/back problem, neuropathy of various causes, even a stroke/ministroke (although i think that is less likely), and others. Bottom line is you should see your doctor for a proper eval.

Get it checked out: You should be seen by a physician if symptoms persist for longer than 3 weeks. This could represent tendonitis, a nerve compression in the arm, or a pinched nerve in the neck, or be pain referred from another condition.
